An appeal to find the owner of two dogs has been launched after five sheep were killed in a livestock worrying incident near Bordon.

Two dogs entered a field opposite Hartley Wood Farm on Hartley Lane, Oakhanger, sometime between 5.20pm and 6pm on Monday.

They proceeded to chase and attack several sheep, with five being later put to sleep because of serious injuries.

Police have released an image of the two dogs as part of an appeal to identify their owner.

“The dogs pictured in this CCTV image are described as being of medium build with black fur and tan markings around their muzzle, legs and tail,” said a spokesperson for Hampshire Police.

“Both dogs were wearing collars, with one wearing a distinctive, brightly coloured (possibly yellow) bow.

“Officers would like to speak to the owner of the dogs, or to anyone from the local area who may know who the owner is.”
