WE IN Alton Climate Action & Network (ACAN) hope you are all keeping healthy and coping as well as possible with the emotional and practical consequences of life under lockdown.
For some, lockdown has been a grim experience. Others may be enjoying some aspects of it.
People are talking about this being a unique opportunity to shape our future society, based on the positive aspects of living through the past few weeks.
We don’t want this opportunity to pass us by! ACAN is keen to hear your views on what we should keep from these days, on how we could use our shared experience to create a more sustainable, greener and fairer society.

I asked my son what he valued the most about lockdown and his response was:
* The recognition and respect we have been showing to key workers in the NHS, care workers, delivery drivers, bin men, shop workers and so many more – these are the people who keep us going through thick and thin and it is only now they are getting the appreciation they deserve.
* Cleaner air.
* The chance to slow down and play computer games.
