Members of Bordon Working Men’s Club gathered together on September 19 to share their memories of the Queen and watch her state funeral.

Mike and Sharon Collyer, aged 66 and 58 respectively, have lived in Bordon for six years and joined the club a month ago.

Mike said: “We watched part of it at home then came here to be part of the local community and raise a glass to Her Majesty. She was a woman who kept up with the times and wasn’t bound by tradition.”

Sharon added: “It was the end of an era, sombre but very emotional. Only the Brits could do a send-off like that, it was incredible. And we got to see the new King.”
