IT WAS a gin-tastic night in Bordon when Hogmoor Distillery opened its doors for its official launch event.
Town mayor, Councillor Catherine Clark, declared the business officially open and cut the ribbon, letting in around 95 guests to celebrate last Friday night.
Samples of each of the gins – London Dry, Nuthatch and Mermaid Shimmer – were available to try, as well as gin-flavoured chocolates specially created by Petersfield-based T&M Artisan Chocolates.
The Hogmoor Distillery team, made up of commercial director Anthony Painterhill, marketing director Mairead Wheeler and financial director Pauline Cheeseman, work out of one of SiGNAL’s workshops.
Anthony said: “It’s really very good. It’s going really well and what great support from local people! I feel proud – the hard work is starting to pay off.”
Cllr Clark, whose favourite gin was the Mermaid Shimmer, said: “It’s great to have a new business in Bordon. I wish the Hogmoor Distillery team a really good future in Bordon.”
And as well as selling gin, Hogmoor Distillery will also host gin schools, with the first set to take place on January 31.
