The mayor of Petersfield officially opened a new automotive centre in the town yesterday (May 5).
Cllr Chris Paige cut the ribbon at Kwik Fit’s first Petersfield site, on Dragon Street, alongside centre manager Darrell Mitchell and staff.
Further celebrations are planned for Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, when customers can take part in a “Spin to Win” game run with Continental Tyres, offering prizes including footballs, sports bags and sunglasses.
Visitors during the two-day event will also receive 20 percent off all products and services, while the first 100 customers each day will be given goodie bags.
The investment means drivers in Petersfield can access services locally rather than travelling to nearby centres in Alton, Winchester, Waterlooville or Havant.
Cllr Paige said: “I’m very happy that Kwik Fit has chosen Petersfield to open its newest centre and delighted to officially welcome the company to the town.
“Seeing the investment Kwik Fit has already put into the centre highlights the level of commitment it is making to the community. I am sure Darrell and his team will have many successful years in Petersfield and will help keep our businesses and motorists moving.”
Mr Mitchell said: “We’re very grateful to Councillor Paige for officially opening our centre and welcoming us to Petersfield.
“We’ve also already had a great welcome from local drivers who have tried our services. This Friday and Saturday would be a great time for anyone interested in what we offer to come and see us – we’ll have prizes and goodies on offer as well as discounts on all our products. Whatever drivers might need, we’re here to help and provide peace of mind motoring.”
