A Tilford woman has fulfilled her “lifelong dream” of running her own coffee shop – in partnership with her local pub The Barlow Mow.
Grace Robson teamed up with landlord Paul McMillan to open her cafe Little Latte at the Tilford Street pub in May, overlooking Tilford’s picture-perfect cricket green.
Little Latte served its first cappuccino on May 19 – and has quickly become a popular bolthole in the village.
Paul said: “We are delighted to welcome Little Latte to The Barley Mow.
“It adds a different dimension to the pub and has been warmly received by our customers who are very much enjoying morning coffee, pastries and lovely baked cakes and treats.
“We look forward to a long working relationship with Grace and her team.”
Grace added: “It has been a lifelong dream of mine to open my own coffee shop and creating Little Latte has allowed me to combine and share two of my passions in baking and great coffee.
“The Barley Mow is just the perfect location for us, nestled between the village green and cricket pitch at the front and the lovely pub garden and river to the rear.
“We have been firmly embraced by the local residents and I hope Little Latte adds something new and desirable to the village.”
Originally from New Zealand, Grace grew up in a country with a thriving coffee culture, and was inspired by the warmth and community spirit that surrounded coffee shops.
She has always had a passion for coffee and baking, and has been able to combine these two passions to create Little Latte.
