YELLOW was the colour of the day when people gathered at Cafe 1759 to mark World Mental Health Day.
As well as donning yellow clothing, there were plenty of activities for visitors to take part in last Thursday, all raising money for Young Minds, a charity which fights for children and young people’s mental health.
These included ceramic painting with Carla Cass, owner of Dolly Pots, jewellery making and free trial reiki sessions with Sue Ellis, a ‘yellow’ raffle, and doTERRA-infused playdough and free hand massages with Rachel Bullen-Bell from MAD for life.
Dolly Pots, a mobile ceramic painting business, donated £1 from each item sold to the charity, while 50 per cent of profits from Cafe 1759’s ‘yellow’ cakes was also given to Young Minds.
The event, organised by Nikki Bonner of Just Be NLP and Coaching, raised £110 for the charity.
