FIREFIGHTERS were called out early on Sunday morning to fight a blaze at Kingsley's Country Market.

Shortly after 8am, firefighters dispatched from Bordon responded to a report of a vehicle fire at Country Market's weekly car-boot sale.

Witness Ronald Ball said: "I was looking around the car boot when suddenly smoke began billowing out of the car park.

"I thought it was a bit stupid starting a fire so close to the cars, but then I realised there was a car on fire. The manager called the fire brigade and, thankfully, they put out the fire before it could spread."

Firefighters had the blaze under control within half an hour.

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the blaze was not thought to have been suspicious.
