A ROLLER marathon, at Bordon’s Prince Philip Barracks last Sunday raised £100 for the Cedar Centre for diabetes at Guildford’s Royal Surrey County Hospital.

Organisers said the event had been fun and acknowledged the efforts of those who took part in the half marathon, including the three people who completed the full 26.2-mile course on bikes and skates.

Naomi Metcalfe, community development officer at the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company which is developing the barracks for housing and a new town centre, said: “We were delighted to raise money and awareness for a worthy cause. We hope to do something similar in the future.”
