Lindford Summer Fete is set to return next month after a successful 2025 event.

The annual fundraiser is expected to attract hundreds of residents and visitors to the village.

The annual community celebration will take place on Saturday, July 4, with organisers promising it will be "the best one yet".

Tara Houston, vice chair of Lindford Parish Council and fete organiser, said everyone was welcome to attend and support the event.

The fete will get under way at noon with the popular dog show, with registrations taking place on the day for owners wishing to enter their pets.

All stall spaces have been booked, with a variety of attractions planned for all ages. These include a petting zoo featuring friendly farm animals, a car show and Backyard Bugs, all free of charge.

Visitors can also enjoy traditional fete favourites including the human fruit machine, lucky dip, hook-a-duck and raffle.

Live music will be provided throughout the event from noon until 4pm by The Backbeat Collective and Deja Who. John Lewis, president of the Woolmer Lions, will officially open the fete.

A variety of food vendors will also be on site serving lunches, snacks and refreshments.

Ms Houston said attendance was expected to be the highest yet. The 2025 fete raised more than £2,000 for the new Chase Farm playground, and organisers hope to beat that total this year.

Ms Houston said: "Lindford Summer Fete has been growing in size and popularity over the last couple of years. We were amazed to raise more than £2,000 in 2025, which went towards our new Chase Farm playground.

"This year's fete will be the best yet and, once again, we are raising money to go back into our community."
