THE centre of Bordon came to a standstill last week following a fire at a fish and chip shop.

A fire broke out in the deep fat fryers at Seafare Fish and Chips last Friday.

Seafare employee William Guan was manning the shop and attempted to stop the flames before being urged to abandon the building.
