A FREE lunch and entertainment for people who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day will be held in Whitehill Village Hall from 11.30am until 4pm.

The traditional three-course Christmas meal will be prepared on the premises and served to the guests by volunteers. Transport to and from the venue will be provided if required.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: “Please spread the word so our efforts can reach the maximum number of eligible people.”
