THE Sing For Joy choir, which was launched in Kingsley and now has a ladies-only session in Oakhanger, has, as its name suggests, brought joy to many villagers who, through the gentle tuition of Lorraine Marshall, have found their voices.
For 11 years Lorraine, who lives in Kingsley with her husband Kevin and her two children, has run this highly successful singing group, which has members from all walks of life and of all ages.
One member, Derrick Bone, at the age of 82, has just passed his grade-five singing exam - much to the delight of his fellow singers and to Lorraine.
