A mental health charity in Havant and East Hampshire has opened a new space at Bordon Community Station.
The space officially opened on Monday, April 14 with a launch event welcoming staff, volunteers, service users, partners and supporters.
The event marked a new chapter for HEH Mind’s work in Bordon and East Hampshire, providing a dedicated environment for adult wellbeing, peer groups and a new ADHD and autism service, alongside programmes for young people.
Located within the community hub, the new base includes one main delivery room, access to two flexible-use rooms and shared use of a community café space. The facility will host activities, workshops and one-to-one support sessions.
HEH Mind was welcomed into the building by Bordon and Whitehill Community Trust member Ms Julie Butler, highlighting the strength of local partnerships behind the move.
Cllr Adeel Shah said: “It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout from local partners, organisations and community leaders, all coming together to support such an important initiative.
“The event provided a great opportunity to hear more about the ambitions for mental health support across East Hampshire, as well as to connect with those delivering vital services on the ground.”
Jody Phelvin, co-chief executive of HEH Mind, said: “We are incredibly excited to open this new space in Bordon.
“It represents our ongoing commitment to making mental health support more accessible and embedded within local communities. This welcoming environment will allow us to connect with more people and provide vital services where they are needed most.”
Ms Maria Morrell, co-chief executive of HEH Mind, said: “This new base is not just a physical space, it’s a place where people can feel safe, supported and empowered.
“We are grateful to everyone who has supported us in making this vision a reality and look forward to welcoming service users, volunteers, fundraisers and supporters.”
