Alton Town Council is looking for nominations for the David Whitmarsh Young Hero Award for 2023.

In 2021 the council was approached by former town mayor Peter Whitmarsh, who wanted to make an award in honour of his late son David, an Altonian who fell ill with a rare leukaemia as a child.

The award is for a young person who has shown courage, endurance or hope in adversity, and inspired others. The closing date is February 29. Call Samantha on 01420 83986 or email [email protected]
