IT'S been more than three years since Britain's last surviving veteran of the First World War passed away at the age of 111.
But the sacrifices made by Harry Patch and his comrades in the trenches nearly a century ago should never be forgotten.

Hundreds gathered around The Square and High Street last weekend for Petersfield's annual Remembrance Day service.
