AS the Tories made an almost clean sweep in the local elections in East Hampshire, the only Liberal Democrats on the district council, all five of them, come from Whitehill.

The result leaves the quintet to fight their party's corner in a sea of blue at the district council headquarters at Penns Place, Petersfield.
