IT was the reunion they had been waiting six months for and last Thursday, at Quebec Barracks' All Ranks Mess, there were laughter and tears when soldiers from 4 Close Support Battalion of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) returned home from Afghanistan and Kuwait.
