Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 8pm August 16 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Queen Elizabeth Country Park, slip road and lane closures for signage repairs, diversion via National Highways network.

A3, from 6am July 25 to 6am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hazell Grove to Liphook, diversion route only for Southern Gas Networks works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

A3, from 8pm August 22 to 6am August 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.

A3, from 8pm September 5 to 6am September 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Liphook, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
