THE Royal Family are the stars in the next film showing at Bordon’s Forest Community Cinema today.

Doors will open at 7pm for a showing of A Royal Night Out (12A).

“This is a light-hearted film based on a true story,” said Claire Coxwell, Forest Community Centre project worker.

“Our cinema is an opportunity to see films locally and somewhere to meet new friends. We open the bar and serve hot dogs before the film starts.”

The film, which will be the last screening in the 2015 programme, tells the story VE night 1945 when the young Princess Elizabeth and her sister, Princess Margaret, venutured out of Buckingham Palace incognito – against the Queen’s wishes but with the blessing of the King – accompanied by army officers as escorts and travelled on London buses.

The popular cinema is run by a team of community centre volunteers.

Advance tickets cost £5 booked in advance and £6 on the door. Call 01420 488978 to reserve seats or add your name to the mailing list.
