Registrations of interest are being welcomed by a housebuilder as work begins on the biggest development in an East Hampshire village for generations.

Cove Homes have been granted permission to build 37 new properties on the Liss Forest Nursery site in Greatham.

Greenhouses on the site off Petersfield Road are being dismantled with a mix of properties ranging from two to five bedrooms in size taking their place.

Development has been in the pipeline for several years as an earlier scheme proposed 46 houses and a shop, while a planning inspector agreed the level of affordable housing could be reduced.
