Witness appeal launched following three-vehicle crash on A31 near AlresfordThe occasion was Treloar’s finale of the Six Book Challenge, an annual competition run by The Reading Agency to encourage people to break out the books.
Dame Jacqueline is popular with Treloar’s students, many of whom asked for her to autograph copies of her books.
After a visit to Treloars Nursery, Dame Jacqueline joined students and staff in Pike Hall where she read an excerpt from The Lion King, which is being performed by Treloar School students as the primary school play this term.
“Treloar’s,” said Dame Jacqueline, “is close to my heart. I visit hundreds of schools but none match the warmth and friendliness of Treloar’s.
“It’s a school in a million.”
