Plans to build two homes on a former landfill site near Headley have been approved at the second time of asking.
Proposals by Fellows Planning Ltd for a pair of detached four-bedroom homes off Bowcott Hill in Arford came before the EHDC Planning Committee early this year.
Councillors deferred the application for a site visit amid questions about possible contamination and the council’s lack of records over why previous schemes for the site east of Brook Lodge were refused.
The infill application recommended for approval included a car barn, landscaping, access and biodiversity area.
Work can begin as approval has since been granted with 10 councillors voting for permission and one abstaining, although Headley Parish Council objected amid concerns over access and proximity.
