HUNDREDS of self-proclaimed ‘nerds’ turned out on Saturday, August 6, for Alton Comic Con at the town’s Assemby Rooms.

Staged by Nerdageddon UK, the Sci-Fi and Comic Con Show featured professional signers, costumers, toy and comic dealers and a host of special guests.

Daleks shared a space with Chris Parsons, from Star Wars, Julian Seager, from Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy and Death Race 4, and horror writer Matt Show. Visitors were almost overwhelmed by “awesome” displays ranging from a Terminator Stage display to Robots and Droids and Super Hero Pods. And there was a games room with a Pokemon Gym.

Next year’s event, on August 12, will be spread over two venues: Alton Assembly Rooms and Alton Community Centre.
