AN under-strength Liphook & Ripsley, fielding only 10 men, suffered the embarrassment of being bowled out for 47 in their penultimate Southern Premier League Division One fixture.
Liphook had done well in the field to dismiss Sarisbury Athletic for 143 in 38 overs. The home side toiled for runs against Suman Ganguly and Charles Janczur and although Tom Mills got things moving with a swift 42, the lower order collapsed to the spin of Dave Elliott who took 4-22 in nine overs.
Liphook also began slowly and suffered a mortal blow when Ganguly was bowled first ball by Jordan Wright (3-14). Harry Munt tried to shore up the innings, but five of the last six batsmen failed to score as Ricky Rawlins snapped up 3-4 in four overs.
Liphook have a chance to make amends when they visit Rowledge in their final fixture this Saturday.
