A 2-0 defeat at Raynes Park Vale on Saturday cost Badshot Lea runners-up spot in the Combined Counties League Division One.
The Baggies finished the season on a winning note with a 2-0 victory at Staines Lammas on Monday, both goals scored by the prolific Nick Thumwood.
However, Badshot Lea were edged out of second place on goal difference by Cobham who beat South Park Reserves 5-0 the same day.
Promotion and relegation issues in the CCL remain unclear while the FA restructures the non-league pyramid, but Badshot Lea are confident of an immediate return to the Premier Division, with Farnham Town probably heading in the opposite direction after finishing bottom of the Premier League.
Former Combined Counties side Hartley Wintney have achieved a remarkable second successive promotion and will play alongside Farnborough and Basingstoke in the Southern League Premier Division next season. The Row beat Cambridge City 1-0 in the East Division play-off final on Monday, Nick Ciardini scoring the alll-important goal in the 40th minute.
Liphook United failed to regain the Hampshire FA Intermediate Cup last Friday as Paulsgrove showed the sort of form that made them league champions and won the final 4-1.
There was a hasty switch of venue to Portchester, but there was a decent crowd and it was a good contest between the Hampshire Premier League rivals.
Paulsgrove, playing their third game in five days, went ahead after 22 minutes with a goal by Jake Pepall. But the lead lasted only seven minutes, with Oli Page equalising for Liphook.
The former cup holders held the new league champions to 1-1 at the interval, but Paulsgrove took complete control in the second half. Ben Vassollo and Jimmy Hird soon gave them a two-goal cushion and Vassollo scored his second of the match in injury time.
Liphook finish fourth in the Senior Division tabe, while Liss Athletic moved up to sixth after a 6-1 thrashing of Hayling United in their last game of the season on Saturday. Josh Benfield notched a hat-trick and finished top of the Senior Division scoring charts with 37 goals, well ahead of Liphook’s Steve Harding and Jimmy Hird (Paulsgrove) on 29 apiece.
