BADSHOT Lea were behind for most of the game, but scored twice in the last 10 minutes to avenge earlier defeats in the league and FA Vase at the hands of Frimley Green.

Playing another Friday night game at Camberley’s Krooner Park, the Baggies found themselves behind after just seven minutes.

And it was a great strike that put Frimley in front. Eddie McKinlay played a perfectly-weighted ball over the top, straight to the feet of Dan Bone who found the net with a cracking half-volley.

Badshot Lea were not at their best, but, typically, came up with the goals when it mattered.

On 82 minutes, Danny Turner provided the assist for Nick Thumwood’s equaliser. Seven minutes later, Zach Hawker struck an absolute belter for the decider. Win number 24 of the season for the Baggies.

Badshot Lea, with a firm grip on second place in the Combined Counties League Division One and sights set on a return to the Premier Division, have two more games – both away – in this long season. The Baggies visit Raynes Park on Saturday, May 5 and travel to Staines Lammas on Wednesday, May 9.
