BADSHOT Lea, after a blip in form, strengthened their grip on second place in the Combined Counties Division?One by scoring 10 goals in two games.

The Baggies put six goals past Chessington on Saturday and followed up with a 4-1 victory over Farleigh on Tuesday.

Danny Mason and Josh Francis put the visitors 2-0 in front by half-time and Danny Turner got their third soon after the restart before Chessington pulled one back.

Turner quickly replied with his second goal and Gary Adamson scored Badshot Lea’s fifth with a diving header. Francis completed his brace just before the finish.

An impressive display by the Baggies who took only 12 players, with manager Mark Thomas playing the full 90 minutes.

• After a goalless first half at Krooner Park on Tuesday, Badshot Lea dispatched Farleigh with goals from Michael Lacey, Will Neville and Danny Langford, plus an own goal.
