FARNHAM TN 3, GODALMING TN 1

FARNHAM Town made it maximum points for the holiday weekend by beating local rivals Godalming at the Memorial Ground on Monday.

Godalming, with a strong side out on paper, took the lead after just two minutes. A low cross came through the entire home defence to leave Ken Kasibante with a tap-in.

Twenty minutes in, Farnham scored a spectacular equaliser as Tom Smith chased a ball down the left and with goalkeeper Jordan Knight caught in no-man’s land, scored with a beautiful lob.

The goal inspired Farnham to attack in waves and in-form Danny Turner again found the back of the net to make it 2-1 at the break.

The next goal was going to be crucial and it was Farnham who got it after five minutes. Another Turner shot hit the post and captain Kay Conteh reacted quickest to put away the rebound.

Farnham, second in the Combined Counties League Division One table, visit fourth-placed Dorking Wanderers this Saturday.

Kensington Borough 0, Farnham 3. Farnham prospered on a decent pitch at Leatherhead on Saturday. Chances came and went, though, and only a minute of the first half remained when Jordan Page cut inside two players and coolly slotted past the keeper to put Town ahead.

The visitors doubled their lead soon after the interval. Ed Scurfield powered through to meet a deep free-kick and a strong header found the top corner.

It was game over when Danny Turner again hit the net from open play. Three-nil to Farnham.

• After losing 3-0 at Banstead on Saturday, promoted Badshot Lea registered their first win in the CCL Premier Division, beating Camberley 4-1 at their own Krooner Park on Monday.

The Baggies took full advantage of Camberley losing Dan Jewell to a second yelow card after 26 minutes. Ryan Bell and Jack May both scored before half-time. Bell scored his second and Stacey Thripp made it 4-0 before the Krooners pulled one back.

• Petersfield Town lost 3-1 to Southern League side Fleet Town in the FA Cup Preliminary Round on Saturday. Skipper Ryan Kennedy scored for Petersfield.
