Six Farnham Town players have signed new contracts at the club.

Great Evans, Ben Purcell, Adam Liddle, Kai Tanner, Max Meaton and Jordan Stepney have all agreed deals to remain at The Memorial Ground for the 2025-26 season.

Striker Evans joined Town in September 2024. Following a short settling-in period, Evans made a big impact in October, salvaging a point with a goal off the bench against Southall and following that up with a second-half winner away at Raynes Park Vale.

Those goals were the first of 12 that Evans would score over the remainder of the season, in addition to his 13 assists, bringing his total goal contributions to 25 in just 35 appearances over the course of the campaign.

Midfielder Purcell was brought in from Bracknell Town in November 2024 and made an immediate impact, appearing in each of the final 29 games of the campaign.

Purcell’s most memorable moment of the season was his 25-yard strike away at Kingstonian in February, which was voted Farnham’s goal of the season by Town fans.

The 20-year-old midfielder’s tenacious actions in the middle of the park and composure on the ball came to the fore as Farnham won the Isthmian League South Central Division title.

Striker Liddle left Hayes & Yeading United and dropped down two levels to join Farnham in Step 5 in the Combined Counties Premier Division South in August 2023.

Liddle has scored 31 goals and provided 18 assists in his 78 appearances for the Town, and will play at Step 3 again next season after Farnham’s back-to-back promotions.

Midfielder Tanner has been a versatile member of the squad since returning to Farnham in August 2023.

Tanner has filled in across multiple positions in midfield and provided cover at both full-back positions.

Over the past two seasons Tanner has made 75 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists.

Defender Meaton has been part of the club for more than a decade, and now extends his stay with the senior team into a 12th season after graduating from the youth set-up.

Meaton helped Farnham win the Premier Challenge Cup in 2015, earn promotion from Step 6 in 2021 and win the Southern Combination Cup in extra time in 2023, before scoring the goal which clinched the Combined Counties Premier Division South title and promotion from Step 5 in 2024.

The defender was a key part of Farnham’s early-season success in 2024-25, appearing in 18 of Town’s first 24 games of the season.

Injury meant Meaton missed most of the winter period of the season, but he returned in March to appear in the final seven league games of Farnham’s title-winning Isthmian League South Central Division campaign.

Meaton has clocked up 296 appearances for Farnham.

Centre-back Stepney returned to Farnham last summer from Isthmian League South Central Division outfit Raynes Park Vale, having previously played for Town in the 2017-18 season.

Starting 42 of his 44 appearances last season, Stepney scored four goals and helped the team concede only 32 goals in the league – 19 fewer than the next best team.

Evans, Purcell, Liddle, Tanner, Meaton and Stepney join Joe Jackson, Jack Dean, Harry Cooksley, Ryan Kinnane, Darryl Sanders, Zaki Oualah, Owen Dean and Sam Evans in being under contract with Farnham for the 2025-26 season.
